Letter, [ca. 1930?] March 6, Prides Crossing, to Mr. Hale, [Chicago].

Letter recounts a visit in about 1856 by the Hon. Amerlia Murray to Charles Greely Loring and a visit by Harriet Martineau to Caleb Loring at Thanksgiving, contained in her book of travels. The family kept one of Miss Martineau's garters, part of the collection of the "Loring Museum," which Miss Loring is cataloging.
